The Sea

Throughout the years
the poets would run to the sea,
When their minds were troubled
and their lives turbulent.

There they would see
hope rise with the sun,
And the thunder of the waves
would drown their sorrow.

Here I sit where the poets before me
came for comfort.
If you are sad
then meet me here
At the place where the water kisses the sand
and the pain fades into the spray.
