]]>This seemed impossible to me. A whole week without crunchy foods, I would never make it. But I did.
But then I went back for my follow-up and she expanded the crunch ban for another week. I thought for sure I wouldn’t be able to do it. But I did.
What did I learn from this? Apparently I have more will power than I thought I did. There are hidden stores of willpower locked away for emergencies.
I’ve even managed to cut out caffeine and chocolate at my primary doctor’s suggestion. How crazy is that?
Bottom line: I have to quit whining “I can’t,” because clearly I can.

Usually I can manage to do that. Sometimes though, I fail miserably. :sorry:
I must remember that stress is no excuse for being unkind.
I was getting ready for Sunday School today and, of course, God took the opportunity to remind me that Paul, even under the stress of an extended imprisonment and the threat of death, managed to act in a godly way, for the betterment of others.
So, what makes me think that the petty stresses of my life excuse me from reflecting God's love to his people—all his people, even the ones who aren't making me happy right now? Nothing. I've got no excuse.
Thank God, I've got grace. We'd all be lost without it.
